Intense, powerful, expressive, yet also elegant and dynamic. The Ungerberg is a flagship, a child of its terroir that points the way with self-confidence and character. The aromas are complex: fleshy flowers, blackberries and dark cherries can be found in it as well as undergrowth notes, liquorice, allspice and iron. It has a gripping texture, is juicy, straightforward and immensely vital and, despite its power, scores with an eminent drinking flow. Long and emphatically it makes you want a second bottle and yet it is only at the beginning of a long and - we are sure - great future.
